Job Description:

• You will diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions by providing an extraordinary customer experience.
• Establish customer rapport to provide our customers with the best experience. Customer service is the biggest part of what we do.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and truck.
• Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional.

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must have a current driver license and clean driving record.
• P-2 or P-1 CT license is required
• Outgoing, professional, clean cut and drug-free.
• Demonstrate the proper and safe use of tools and related equipment and procedures.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively individually as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to explain technical information to customers.

Apprentice Plumber/ Service Technician

First year Gottier Plumbing & Heating service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience.

Gottier Plumbing & Heating provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training in our plumbing school to learn the trade. Your daily job will be providing sewer & drain service to our residential and commercial customers. But, Gottier Plumbing & Heating also allows you to schedule time riding with, and working alongside, a licensed plumber so you can gain the apprentice hours and knowledge needed to become a plumber.

Responsibilities:

• Gottier Plumbing & Heating plumbing apprentices/drain service technicians use their skills to provide solutions to plumbing and drain problems.
• A service call begins with diagnosing problems then providing cost estimates to close the sale.
• Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Gottier Plumbing & Heating equipment and tools.
• Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone.
• Collect payment and move on to the next service call.

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication skills.
• A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior plumbing experience is not necessary.
