Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance for residential customers.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing systems and diagnose issues.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, offering clear and accurate communication about services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with all local plumbing codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call services as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally, ensuring customers have a positive experience with every interaction.
  • Receive training in heating systems, expanding your skill set to include installation, maintenance, and repair of heating equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of plumbing experience preferred. Will consider a plumber out of trade school with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Licensing/Certifications: Valid Connecticut P-1 or P-2 plumbing license.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting, repair, and installation skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Tools: Must have own set of basic tools. Company will provide specialized equipment.
  • Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Willingness to Learn: Must be open to receiving training in heating systems and expanding your expertise.

Gottier Plumbing & Heating has been serving Connecticut homeowners since 1954. Warren J. Gottier founded the company in a small garage on Pleasant Street in Vernon, CT. The company relocated to Union St. in 1960 and later moved to our current West Street location.

We have grown a lot since 1954, but we are still a family business. The four Gottier brothers oversee our day-to-day operations. As a second-generation, family-owned business, we maintain Warren Gottier’s high standards of professionalism, workmanship, and quality. We work hard to earn and maintain your trust.
